Higher due to CA World or Eurekify acquisition?

Subject: Higher due to CA World or Eurekify acquisition?
CA World is kicking off this weekend in Vegas. For those of you who
don't know, this is CA's yearly user conference where they showcase
their products, conduct product training, etc. It's the single biggest
yearly event for the company.

I read one report today where the Goldman Sachs analyst was saying
that this could increase CA's stock price (see article at
http://news.moneycentral.msn.com/provider/providerarticle.aspx?feed=A...).

I see that today CA did in fact buck the bear trend by posting a
modest gain. But this is also on the heels of CA's announcement that
they are buying Eurekify, an identity management company.

I'm curious to hear what your thoughts are: is this rise in stock
price due more to CA World or the acquisition? CA World goes on for
several more days. Could this mean several more days of gains? Or will
the stock price drop as news of the acquisition fades from people's
memory over the coming days?

I personally think it's because of the acquisition. I think that sends
the message that CA is doing well enough in this decrepid economy to
purchase another company.

Thoughts?

Brian

I just bought it but being a consumer of their software, I feel like
the recent stability in their organization is only going to provide a
stronger base of growth in the near future.
